Omid Majidinejad is an Iranian-American contemporary artist and designer whose meticulously constructed works investigate the relationship between architecture, memory, and the human condition. Drawing from his background in industrial design and interior architecture, Majidinejad creates imagined cityscapes where precision and fantasy converge, blurring the boundaries between the built environment and psychological space.

 

Working primarily with ink, graphite, and mixed media, he develops intricate compositions through thousands of deliberate marks. His architectural forms become metaphors for civilization itself exploring themes of progress, displacement, resilience, and the fragile balance between order and chaos. While rooted in technical rigor, his works invite emotional and philosophical reflection, presenting cities not merely as physical structures but as living repositories of collective memory and cultural identity.

 

Born in Isfahan, Iran, Majidinejad earned a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Design before completing a Master of Fine Arts in Interior Architecture & Design at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. His multidisciplinary career spans architecture, industrial design, furniture design, and fine art, with projects exhibited internationally and collected in private collections across the United States, Europe, and the Middle East.

 

Majidinejad’s design practice has been recognized through award-winning collaborations, including projects selected for the ADI Design Index 2025 and Hospitality Design (HD) Awards finalist honors.
